Steel Cathedrals (1985)

No subsolo de um edifício de escritórios em Tóquio, Jiro Ono, antigo mestre do sushi de 85 anos, trabalha incansavelmente em seu restaurante de fama internacional, o Sukiyabashi Jiro. Enquanto seu filho Yoshikazu encara a pressão de ficar no lugar do pai e gerenciar o lendário restaurante, Jiro-san persegue implacavelmente sua busca pelo sushi perfeito.

Sua arte é tão poderosa que algumas vezes gerava problemas.

A mãe parece ser uma pessoa imatura e irresponsável, e delega responsabilidades pesadas demais para o Akira, o filho mais velho que tem apenas 12 anos.O filme é baseado em uma história real, o caso das "Crianças abandonadas de Sugamo" ocorrido no Japão em 1988.

Escaping the city, Merrilees takes the bullet train to Matsusaka where she visits a farm that produces the most expensive beef in the world. She also visits Kyoto and Mount Fuji for the annual Summer Fire Festival to gorge herself on wonderful street food.

TOKYO Ainu features the Ainu, an indigenous people of Japan, living in Greater Tokyo (Tokyo and its surrounding areas), who are and actively in promoting their traditional culture in a metropolitan environment away from their traditional homeland, Hokkaido. Shedding a common assumption that all Ainu live in Hokkaido, the film captures the feelings, thoughts and aspirations of Ainu people that who try to follow the Ainu way no matter where they live.
