Três Marujos em Paris (1954)

O magnata Max Zorin (Christopher Walken) pretende controlar o mercado de informática. Ele resolve arquitetar um louco plano, no qual milhares de pessoas vão morrer para ficar ainda mais rico. Após retornar da sua viagem na União Soviética com um chip de computador, James Bond (Roger Moore) precisa investigar as indústrias de Zorin e tentar impedir que o vilão realize os seus planos.

A Primeira Guerra Mundial em uma época que ela não era conhecida como tal - o filme conta a história de um grupo de soldados franceses presos em um campo de prisioneiros na Alemanha em 1916, de suas análises sobre a guerra e do comportamento humano no meio dela.

Esta é a história de Alice Bonnard, jovem que estuda no colégio para meninas Saint-Sulvien. A ação se passa "em algum destes meses de julho e agosto, na turbulência dos anos 60", quando o conflito de gerações era a tônica. A bela Alice vem passar férias com seus pais no campo. Eles gerenciam uma serraria e acabaram de contratar o garanhão Jim. Os negócios não vão bem, mas o senhor e a senhora Bonnard, isolados em seu orgulho, não conseguem admitir o iminente fracasso do empreendimento. O casal vai à loucura com a atitude cool, de desprezo pelo trabalho, de Jim. Um fato complicador vem apimentar as relações neste ambiente prestes a desmoronar: o amor cego que Alice alimenta pelo sedutor empregado da serraria. Entretanto, ela não ousa lhe dirigir a palavra, consciente de que Jim praticamente ignora sua triste existência. Ela ronda em torno dele, mas a barreira do silêncio só faz aumentar... Quanto mais Alice se aproxima de Jim, aumenta a impossibilidade de comunicação.

Iranian Iradj Azimi directed this French historical drama re-creating events depicted in the famous 1819 painting The Raft of the Medusa by Jean Louis Andre Theodore Gericault (1791-1824). The ill-fated voyage of the frigate Medusa begins when it departs Rochefort for Senegal in 1816. After striking a sandbar off the African coast, 150 civilians row safely to shore, but Captain Chaumareys (Jean Yanne) orders 140 soldiers and sailors onto a raft (minus supplies) and has it cut loose. Only 14 survive from the 140, creating a scandal back in France. Gericault (Laurent Terzieff) later talks to three of the survivors while researching his painting. Work on this film began in 1987, but sets destroyed by Hurricane Hugo caused delays, so the film was not completed until 1990. However, it then remained undistributed until an incident in which writer-director Azimi slashed his wrists in front of French Ministry of Culture officials.
