Quando descobre que há na lâmpada um gênio poderoso, que pode se transformar em qualquer pessoa ou coisa e que lhe concederá três desejos, Aladdin planeja usá-los para conquistar Jasmine, sem imaginar que Jafar é um diabólico inimigo, que precisa ser detido.
