Portrait of the Wind centers on Tamio Murase, a world-traveling photographer who came home to take over the family business after his father’s fatal heart attack. The initial portions of the film deal with their budding romance, and it isn’t long before the two become a serious couple, and Ayako is pregnant with Tamio’s child.
Minako (TANAKA Yuko), begins her day running up and down the hills of her hometown delivering milk door to door. When that's done, she heads to her day job as a supermarket cashier. Minako is 50 and single. In one of the houses to which she delivers milk is a man with whom she has secretly been in love since high school. The man, Keita (KISHIBE Ittoku), lives with his wife Yoko, who is terminally ill. Caring for her at home, he works in the children's affairs section of the local municipal office. Though he insists that he wants nothing more than an "ordinary" existence, his life is in turmoil below the surface. The director uses a variety of narrative devises to portray the loneliness, isolation, and hope of these people who have seemingly allowed their goals and dreams to slip away, whilst keeping them agonizingly close to hand.
Hotel Manager

Ethnically Korean Japanese filmmaker Yoichi Sai directs this madcap crime comedy. Nakayama (Goro Kishitani) is a suave police detective who doesn't play by the rules. One of duties is to shake down sniveling Korean gangster Hideyoshi (Ren Osugi) for information. In spite of their positions on opposite sides of the law, the two discover that they share a fair amount in common. A disregard for the law and the love of a comely prostitute from China named Momo-chan (Makoto Togashi). Though Hideyoshi is running an illegal alien smuggling ring with her and has lusted for her from a far for quite a while, Nakayama manages to bed her first. When she does finally appear in Hideyoshi's bed, she's unfortunately a corpse.

Masashi Yokomizo
Edogawa Rampo is a writer whose latest work is censored by the government, deemed too disturbing and injurious to the public to be allowed to be published. However, after burning his drafts, his publisher shows him a newspaper with an account of events just like his forbidden story. As the film progresses, fantasy and reality intermingle in a tale that draws heavily on influences from Poe and Stoker's Dracula. The film's strongly Expressionistic direction skillfully combines a variety of media (animation, computer-generated imagery, grainy black-and-white fast film stock, color negatives) for artistic effect.
Shizuya, who appeared on the first anniversary of Ken Sakamoto's death, the fourth Kishu-gumi. He again asks Ryuko to accept the sake cup. What about Shizuya and Ryuko? On the other hand, Shizuya, who went to see Akino after studying abroad in France, was frustrated by his gangster side...
Ken Sakamoto, the 4th generation of Kishugumi, is disbanded in mid-career, and his wife, Kumi Sakamoto, succeeds to the name of Ryuko Sakamoto, the 5th generation sister. Shizuya goes to Osaka and tells Tatsuko that he wants to receive Kishu-gumi's sake cup. However, for Ryuko, the fresh group was nothing more than an enemy.
Ken Sakamoto, a member of the Kishu-gumi, who is aiming to dominate the Kansai region and conquer the whole country, has come to crush the fresh group. Saying goodbye to his beloved Akino, Shizuya stands up. However, Kishu-gumi plans to use Akino's younger brother to trap Shizuya.
