Раздобыв денег на покупку драгоценной тетради и взяв взамен карандаша губную помаду матери, Бахтай отправляется в путь. По дороге на нее нападают мальчишки, которые, играя подражают взрослым и воспроизводят ужасное насилие… Мальчишки хотят забить маленькую девочку камнями, взорвать ее, как талибы взорвали статую Будды, застрелить ее как американцы. Сумеет ли Бахтай сбежать от этих жестоких военных игр и добраться до школы?
