Анимационный фильм рассказывает историю похищения волшебного кристалла Санты. Магический камень позволял поздравить с Рождеством всех детей в мире одновременно и теперь Санта не знает, как быть. Преступный замысел удалось реализовать отвратительному брату-близнецу Санты Бэзилу. Немаловажную роль в этом деле сыграл сирота Йотэн. К счастью, мальчик вовремя осознает свою ошибку и попытается исправить ситуацию. Но удастся ли ему вернуть все на свои места? Сможет ли Санта поздравить с Рождеством детей во всем мире?..

Молодому северному оленю по имени Нико снится, что его отец — один из летающих оленей Санта Клауса. Несмотря на страдание от серьезного головокружения, он убегает из своего дома, чтобы взять лётные уроки у его друга, неуклюжей белки-летяги Юлии. Вскоре после этого, Нико и Юлия узнают, что Санта и его северный олень находятся в серьезной опасности. Они собирают своих лесных друзей и отправляются в поход на Северный полюс, чтобы спасти Санта Клауса и его отца.

When 12-year-old Lauri tries too hard to get his older siblings’ attention he falls badly and loses his ability to walk. Now Lauri is stuck at home, lonelier than he ever was. Just then a helpful furry creature from another dimension appears and takes him on a fantasy adventure. In the other dimension Lauri trades his shadow for being able to walk again, but the shadow becomes a goofy, all-eating monster who follows Lauri back to his world. To beat the monster Lauri needs to team up with his siblings and give up his ability to walk. However, Lauri is now determined to learn to walk again and he has his siblings beside him - and that’s what really matters.

After a tearful goodbye, Niko leaves his family behind to fulfil his biggest dream and take his place next to his father on Santa’s Flying Forces. Stella, an unknown challenger, arrives to compete for Niko’s spot. Despite their competitiveness, the pair take a liking to each other, and Niko shows Stella where Santa’s sleigh is hidden. However, on the night before Christmas Eve, Stella steals it. Gutted by Stella’s betrayal and desperate to appease his angry father, Niko heads to the frozen North to recover the sleigh. He is accompanied by his old friends Wilma and Julius.
