Shot on a small budget and with no other pretense than to entertain, "El falcón de Castilla" had considerable box office success.

When his "job" brings him in conflict with the notorious outlaw Gus Kenneback, he has personal reasons to protect the money as Kenneback was once responsible for the death of Lanky's brother.

Shenandoah then reveals his true reason for joining the gang; one of them killed his wife and he is there for retribution.
