Overbooking : male noun, neologism, method which consists in selling more tickets than there are available places in anticipation of a percentage of defections evaluated from statistical data. Surbook : A play with 6 characters, written to measure for Lagaf', a comedy based on this principle which consists in introducing more characters than there are places available in Lagaf"s room, gone on vacation in a dream club and which will not benefit from any percentage of defections, quite the contrary... Long live statistics!
Biografía del legendario compositor americano Cole Porter, un icono de la música del siglo XX cuyo esplendor coincidió con la época dorada de Hollywood. En 1964, a punto de morir, toca al piano una melodía melancólica y familiar que lo lleva a evocar el pasado: recuerda las personas y los hechos más importantes de su vida, sobre todo, la profunda y compleja relación con su esposa y musa, Linda Lee Porter.
Deforme de nacimiento, un hombre amargado conocido únicamente como el Fantasma vive en las alcantarillas debajo del teatro de la Ópera de París. Se enamora de la solitaria cantante del coro Christine, y en secreto la coge bajo su tutela mientras aterroriza al resto de la gente de la ópera y demanda que a Christine le den papeles protagonistas. Chick Williams, a prohibition gangster, rejoins his mob soon after being released from prison. When a policeman is murdered during a robbery, he falls under suspicion. The gangster took Joan, a policeman's daughter, to the theater, sneaked out during the intermission to commit the crime, then used her to support his alibi. The detective squad employs its most sophisticated and barbaric techniques, including planting an undercover agent in the gang, to bring him to justice.
