Milo, una estrella del porno ya retirada que vive con su mujer y su hijo, está pasando por apuros económicos. Una cita con una antigua compañera de rodaje, la pornostar Layla, le presenta la oportunidad de trabajar con un tipo llamado Vukmir en su nueva película de porno experimental. Milos acaba aceptando sin saber exactamente lo que va a rodar y acaba sumergido en una tormenta de depravación violencia, snuff, pedofilia, y drogas que lo dejan en un abismo de locura.

Una periodista se introduce en unas extrañas sectas que viven bajo la ciudad y que se dedican a resucitar muertos con la intención de derrotar a los cenobitas.

En esta ocasión, Jessica, su prometido y un amigo de éste, se hospedarán en un hostel en medio de la nada. Lo que no sospecharán en que en ese lugar realizan películas snuffs para venderlas en el mercado negro con los huespedes que se alojan allí.

El FBI cuenta con un departamento encargado de delitos cibernéticos que se dedica únicamente a investigar y perseguir a los delincuentes que actúan en Internet. En Portland, la agente especial Jennifer Marsh (Diane Lane) tiene que resolver un caso sin precedentes: un depredador cibernético cuelga torturas y asesinatos en una sofisticada página web que, al no dejar rastro, no puede ser desconectada. El destino de sus víctimas depende del público: cuantas más visitas registre la página web, más deprisa morirán. Cuando el juego del gato y el ratón se convierte en algo personal, Jennifer y su equipo deberán lanzarse a una carrera contrarreloj para encontrar al asesino.

Ángela, licenciada en ciencias de la información, prepara su tesis sobre la violencia audiovisual. Su director, Figueroa, se compromete a buscarle películas, mientras que un amigo, Chema, la invita a su casa a una sesión de cine gore y pornográfico. Figueroa descubre en la videoteca de la Facultad unas galerías con cientos de videocintas. Poco después muere en extrañas circunstancias. Ángela descubre el cadáver y se da cuenta de que ha sufrido un infarto mientras veía una cinta de vídeo. Ángela se hace con la cinta y hace un terrible descubrimiento: se trata de una snuff movie, una película ilegal en la que se filma al asesinato real de gente inocente. La joven comienza a sospechar que en la Facultad existe una red de tráfico de este tipo de películas. Pero, ¿quién es el responsable de ella?

Tras sufrir un desperfecto en su coche, Don y Nancy se quedan parados en una apartada carretera del sur de Estados Unidos. En medio de la noche y sin un alma que transite por el lugar la pareja cree que su suerte ha cambiado al ser encontrados por el Sheriff Taylor. Aunque nadie podrá arreglar el coche hasta el día siguiente, el funcionario les ofrece levarlos hasta el motel más cercano donde podrán descansar y pasar la noche. Lo que ellos no saben es que en ese lugar se dedican a secuestrar, torturar y asesinar a todo aquel que se hospede en sus habitaciones...

In 2009, the small town of Cohasset, Massachusetts was rocked with tragedy. A 17-year-old high school senior named Collin Mason murdered three classmates. All the murders were videotaped and uploaded to the Internet via bit torrent sites and for three days, the world viewed the murders of these three innocent teens. Through legal action, the parents of the victims were able to remove all footage from the Internet and the town tried to save face by pretending it never happened. Bootleg copies of this footage are still passed around and downloaded through illegal means. The impact of this video is still being felt in Cohasset today. The video has become infamous, and is now referred to as The Cohasset Snuff Film.

A gentle yellow "high noon" prevails into which the orange worm appears and reappears, twisting, arching, turning. A phosphorescent orange of leaves explodes midst greens and black holes appropriate to the image of the worm. The forms of many varieties of leafage mix with a veritable rain or clash of overall tones, a fire of forms, a glowing color photo-negative of worm, and the final canopies of autumn tone and sky tone permeated by sun, sun streaks and octagonal prism shapes ad infinitum.

The final Duplicity film does seem at resolve with the term. All previous visual manifestations have been extended to their limits, through four-roll superimpositions. Obvious costumes and masks. Drama as an ultimate bid for truth, and totemic recognition of human and animal life-on-earth dominate all the evasions a duplicity otherwise affords.

Slowly he is dragged into a quagmire of strange happenings and his efforts to understand only make him confused. If at the beginning he is a chipper, a mere device, by the end of the story he is inextricably involved, a committed participant in the bizarre events.
