女の歴史 (1963)

Spanish photographer Francesc Boix, imprisoned in the Mauthausen-Gusen concentration camp, works in the SS Photographic Service. Between 1943 and 1945, he hides, with the help of other prisoners, thousands of negatives, with the purpose of showing the freed world the atrocities committed by the Nazis, exhaustively documented. He will be a key witness during the Nuremberg Trials.

1936年のドイツ、ベルリン。パスポートや紙幣など、あらゆる偽造を行うプロの贋作師サリー。犯罪捜査局の捜査官ヘルツォークに捕らえられた彼は、マウトハウゼン強制収容所に送られる。そこは犯罪者の送られる刑務所ではなくユダヤ人を対象にした収容所だった。

1939年、ポーランド南部の都市クラクフにドイツ軍が侵攻した。ドイツ人実業家のオスカー・シンドラーは、一旗揚げようとこの街にやって来た。彼は金にものを言わせて巧みに軍の幹部たちに取り入り、ユダヤ人の所有していた工場を払い下げてもらう。ユダヤ人会計士のイツァーク・シュテルンをパートナーに選んだシンドラーは、軍用ホーロー容器の事業を始める。41年3月、ユダヤ人たちは壁に囲まれたゲットー（居住区）に住むことを義務づけられる。シュテルンの活躍で、ゲットーのユダヤ人たちが無償の労働力として、シンドラーの工場に続々と集められ事業はたちまち軌道に乗る。

ホロコーストを題材に、ナチスの強制収容所から生き延びたヒロインをメリル・ストリープが圧倒的な存在感で演じた感動作。ストリープは本作でアカデミー賞主演女優賞を受賞した。

『ライフ・イズ・ビューティフル』（原題：La vita è bella、英題：Life Is Beautiful）は、1997年のイタリア映画。ロベルト・ベニーニ監督・脚本・主演作品。第二次世界大戦下のユダヤ人迫害（ホロコースト）を、ユダヤ系イタリア人の親子の視点から描いた作品である。 カンヌ国際映画祭で審査員グランプリを受賞。第71回米国アカデミー賞で作品賞ほか7部門にノミネートされ、そのうち、主演男優賞、作曲賞、外国語映画賞を受賞した。また、トロント国際映画祭の観客賞やセザール賞の外国映画賞も受賞している。

When the first manned flight to Venus returns to Earth, the rocket crash-lands in the Mediterranean near a small Italian fishing village. シェイクスピアの『マクベス』を日本の戦国時代に置き換え様式美に拘り描いた戦国武将の一大悲劇。鷲津武時は謀反を起こした敵を討ち、その帰途の森で出会った老婆から不思議な予言を聞く。やがて予言通り事が運び始めると、欲望に取り憑かれた妻にそそのかされて主を殺し、自ら城主の地位につくのだったが……。

Fernando has just finished the military service. It decides to buy Bucéfalo, the horse that has been his partner for this time and returns to Madrid removing with it to the animal. But everything has changed, the city already neither is the same and even he nor finds stables nor has time to attend to it. This way the things remedy will not have any more that to look for any solution.

A story of a man threatened by a fatal illness evaluating his life (the number 322 in the film title stands for the diagnosis of one kind of cancer). He understands his illness as a form of punishment for his cruel deeds in the 1950s. In the face of reality and his efforts to cleanse himself he hits a barrier of indifference, lack of interest, and individual and collective selfishness. He has to find his own reconciliation with his illness and his past and present life.

The film is the personal story of a protagonist of our times and traces Carlo Martini's actions and thoughts, as he has remained faithful to its vocation and ideals. Through dramatic events (terrorism, Tangentopoli, labor crisis, conflict, loneliness) Carlo Martini interpreted losses and concerns of the people, who saw a free man and a non dogmatic prince of the Gospel Church. Thanks to the authenticity of his testimony he has been a reference point for believers and non-believers, a prophet of hope, a forerunner of Pope Francis.

Poetic, experimental and different, Container is described by Lukas Moodysson as "a black and white silent movie with sound" and with the following words; "A woman in a man's body. This documentary depicts the filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky talking about his life, his loves, his career as a filmmaker, graphic novelist, and workshop leader, and his eccentricities including tarot reader and theatrical director during The Panic Movement. Directed by Louis Mouchet, La Constellation Jodorowsky includes a lengthy on-camera interview with Jodorowsky in Spanish with subtitles. Marcel Marceau, Fernando Arrabal, Peter Gabriel, Jean "Moebius" Giraud, and Jean Pierre Vignau make appearances discussing their various projects with the director. In addition to the interview and film clips, Mouchet features some bizarre footage from Jodorowsky’s absurdist plays in which topless women splattered with paint writhe around the stage in a theatrical production meant to represent The Panic Movement, i.e., an artistic expression in which reason cannot fully express the human experience.
