Luise, called Pünktchen, and Anton are closest of friends. Being the daughter of a wealthy surgeon, young Pünktchen lives in a great house. Her mother, who always travels through the world more for public relation reasons than for the social tasks she pretends to fulfill, is never available to her as a mother. Anton, son of a single and sick mother in financial trouble, does his best to help her out of it by working late. Pünktchen decides to help her only friend (as nobody else would anyway) and starts singing in public places. マレクと仲間たちはようやく巫女ティーラの姉キャリンを救出する。やがて巫女たちが命懸けで守る秘石が、悪の胞子＝ダークスポアと呼ばれる秘宝のかけらだと明かされる。1000年にわたって無限の力が得られるというこの秘宝が邪悪な魔術師ゾアロクの手に渡ることを防ぐため、秘宝は4つに分けられて隠されたのだという。血眼でかけらを求めるゾアロクの手下に先んじるため、マレクたちは新たな旅へと出発する。

自らに眠る黒魔術の力を制御するため、師である賢者ゴージュンのもとで修行を重ねるマレク。そんな時、かつて奴隷だった彼女の元主人であるペレガスの罠により、仲間の剣士セインが捕まってしまった。ペレガスはセイン解放の条件として、謎の麻薬イリストリウムを隠した売人を見つけ出せという。やむなく条件をのんだマレクたちは、ペレガスの部下ベティラをお目付役として、危険に満ちた旅へと出発する。

闇の魔力を無限に増大させる“ダークスポア”。悪の魔術師ゾアロクは、その4つのかけらのうち、すでに3つを手にしていた。最後のかけらを死守するマレクたちは、ゾアロクの手の届かない女神の神殿にかけらを収めようと旅を続けていた。そんな中、マレクたちはダークスポアを破壊できる唯一の武器“テック神のつち（ハンマー）”の存在を知る。つちを手にするには、ドワーフの王の証である王冠が必要だった。

邪悪な魔術師ゾアロクの力は頂点に達した。死者は闇の手先としてよみがえり、戦うほど敵の軍勢は増えるばかりだった。一方、マレクと盗賊デーゴンはゾアロクの力の源“ダークスポア”を破壊するため旅を続けていたが、マレクは自らの決断が招いた今の事態に苦悩していた。やがて2人は、ダークスポアを破壊できる唯一の武器“テック神のつち（ハンマー）”のありかを知るが、それは生者ではたどり着けない死者の世界にあった。
