シノプシス

Imahe Nasyon is a groundbreaking, conceptual omnibus film by 20 alternative filmmakers who were tasked to present their personal visions on national issues. Renowned line producers Jon and Carol Red hatched the idea of revisiting the 1986 EDSA revolution, challenging directors to answer the question "What happened after 1986?" with a short film not longer than five minutes each. Despite individual techniques, the same goal is shared: to depict a truthful image of the nation at present.

ハートブルー

ハーヴァード大学出のエリートFBI捜査官のジョニー・ユタ（キアヌ・リーブス）は、ロサンゼルスのベニス･ビーチで続発する銀行強盗の調査をベテラン刑事のパパス（ゲイリー・ビジー）とともに任される。犯行は歴代大統領の覆面[3]を被り、わずか一分半で盗みを終えるプロフェッショナルによるものだった。二人は事件の場所から犯人をサーファーであると推測し、捜査を開始する。彼は早速、潜入捜査のためサーファーに成りすまし、強盗団のリーダーであるボディ（パトリック・スウェイジ）と女性サーファーのタイラー[4]（ロリ・ペティ）と出会う。ボディは、ジョニーが大学生時代にフットボールのクォーターバックとして活躍していたのを知っており、そのこともあってジョニーはすんなりとサーファーグループと浜辺でのフットボールやサーフィンで絆を深め合っていくことができた。そしてタイラーとも恋人同士の関係になっていくのだった。ある日パパスとジョニーは同じ車に乗っていた。パパスが「何か食い物を買ってこよう」とファーストフード店へと向かう。そしてその瞬間にジョニーは覆面の強盗集団の犯行を目撃する。すぐさま車で後を追うジョニーだったが、間一髪のところで逃げられてしまう。追ってきた捜査官がジョニーであることを確認したボディはタイラーを拉致。ジョニーをスカイダイビングに誘いスカイダイビング後に、タイラーの命と引き換えにジョニーに銀行強盗に協力するよう脅迫する。

シティ・オブ・ゴッド

1960年代後半、ブラジル・リオデジャネイロの貧民街“シティ・オブ・ゴッド”では銃による強盗や殺人が絶え間なく続いていた。そこでは3人のチンピラ少年が幅を利かせている。ギャングに憧れる幼い少年リトル・ダイスは彼らとともにモーテル襲撃に加わり、そこで初めての人殺しを経験すると、そのまま行方をくらました。一方、3人組の一人を兄に持つ少年ブスカペは事件現場で取材記者を目にしてカメラマンを夢見るようになる。70年代、名をリトル・ゼと改めた少年リトル・ダイスは、“リオ最強のワル”となって街に舞い戻ってきた…。

シュレック

シカゴに住む建築家のサムは癌で妻を亡くし一人息子のジョナと共にシアトルに越してきたが、ジョナは、父親のために新しい奥さんが必要だと思いラジオ局の相談番組に電話をする。同じ頃、ボルチモアに住む新聞記者のアニーは、婚約者ウォルターを伴って実家のクリスマス・パーティに出席した帰途に偶然聞いた、そのラジオ番組で、サムが切々と語る亡き妻の思い出にアニーは思わず涙する。

Copying Beethoven

A fictionalised exploration of Beethoven's life in his final days working on his Ninth Symphony. It is 1824. Beethoven is racing to finish his new symphony. However, it has been years since his last success and he is plagued by deafness, loneliness and personal trauma. A copyist is urgently needed to help the composer. A fictional character is introduced in the form of a young conservatory student and aspiring composer named Anna Holtz. The mercurial Beethoven is skeptical that a woman might become involved in his masterpiece but slowly comes to trust in Anna's assistance and in the end becomes quite fond of her. By the time the piece is performed, her presence in his life is an absolute necessity. Her deep understanding of his work is such that she even corrects mistakes he has made, while her passionate personality opens a door into his private world.
