When a gal named Kasumi decides to become a traditional Japanese 'Rakugo' storyteller due to her uncle's invalidity, she is soon on her way to a career with college-level and amateur success. She becomes a student to one of the master's of the genre and is even asked to perform by a TV producer. The only snag is, the particular story has a curse dripping from its words.

平成ガメラシリーズ第1作。 監督に金子修介、脚本に伊藤和典、特撮監督に樋口真嗣を迎え、リアリティを徹底的に追求しつつ、新しい特撮表現に挑んだ意欲的な怪獣映画となった。 1995年。太平洋上に発見された謎の巨大漂流環礁が、黒潮に乗って日本に近づいていた。保険会社の草薙と海上保安庁の米森は環礁の調査に乗り出し、環礁の上で不思議な石版と大量の勾玉を発見。さらに、この環礁が生物であるということが明らかになる。 同じ頃、九州の五島列島・姫神島で、島民が「鳥！」という無線を最後に消息を絶つ事件が発生。調査に呼ばれた鳥類学者の長峰はそこで、島民を食らった巨大な怪鳥を発見する。 政府は怪鳥の捕獲を決定。長峰が中心となって福岡ドームに誘い込む作戦を決行するが、その内の１匹を取り逃がしてしまう。巣に向かって帰巣する１匹を自衛隊のヘリが追跡していた時、博多湾からあの環礁＝巨大生物が出現。向かって来る怪鳥を平手打ちで石油コンビナートに吹き飛ばして倒し、そのまま博多へ上陸。周りの建物を破壊しながらドームに向かって行く。更に、予期せぬ事態に周囲は大混乱に陥り、その隙を突いた２匹の怪鳥は自らを閉じ込めていた鉄格子を強力な超音波で切断して脱出。巨大生物も円盤のような姿となって怪鳥を追って飛び去っていった。 「最後の希望・ガメラ、時の揺りかごに託す。災いの影・ギャオスと共に目覚めん。」 古代の石板に記された碑文から、政府は巨大生物をガメラ、怪鳥をギャオスと呼称する。政府はギャオスの捕獲にこだわる一方、ギャオスよりも体格的に大きいガメラを危険視し、ギャオスを追うガメラを攻撃する。 ガメラの妨害を逃れ短期間で巨大に成長を遂げたギャオスは、エサとなる人間を求め東京へと向かう。ここにきてようやく政府は捕獲を中止し、ギャオスに攻撃を行うが、ギャオスは自衛隊の発射したミサイルを巧みに誘導して東京タワーを破壊させ、真っ二つに折れた東京タワーに営巣する。しかしギャオスの産卵直後、突如大きな地震が起こり、次の瞬間、傷の癒えたガメラが地中から出現。東京タワーごと巣を破壊したものの、ギャオスを取り逃がしてしまう。急いで飛び上がるガメラ。 今ここに、東京の空を舞台とした、二大怪獣による空中決戦の火蓋が切られた。

朝男の頭の中は「女とヤリたい」でいっぱい。そんなモヤモヤが彼を異常な行動へ駆り立てていく。 『みんな〜やってるか!』は、ビートたけし監督による日本映画で初コメディ映画監督作品。1995年2月11日公開。 「北野武」名義も含めた場合は5作目に当たる。それまでは「北野武」名義で映画監督を行ってきたが、本作は初の「ビートたけし」名義での製作となった。そのため「ビートたけし第一回監督作品」と銘打たれる(日本国外では、北野武名義の作品となっている)。 多くの映画評論家からも黙殺されたが、淀川長治は「斎藤寅次郎、マック・セネットの再来」と評価した。

元禄14年、江戸城内での刃傷沙汰により、赤穂藩主・浅野内匠頭は即日切腹で、赤穂藩は取りつぶし、一方、吉良上野介はおとがめなしとなる。この理不尽な裁断の裏には、幕府の体制を維持しようとする、時の権力者・柳沢吉保と、吉良の嫡男を藩主とする上杉家米沢藩の江戸家老・色部又四郎の采配が働いていた。赤穂藩家老の大石内蔵助は、ただちに軍資金を確保すると、赤穂浪士の同志たちとともに吉良邸討ち入りの機会をうかがう。

戦国時代にあって、お茶の道を追究し続けた千利休。そんな美と知の体現者・利休と、絶大な権力を持ちながらも粗野で利休とは対極にある秀吉の確執を描く。映画に登場する生花はすべて、自身も華道・草月流の家元である勅使河原監督の手による。利休を演じた三國連太郎と秀吉を演じた山崎努の対照的な演技のぶつかり合いもみどころ。また、同時期に公開された「千利休　本覺坊遺文」との“利休対決”も話題となった。

牢を出たばかりの座頭市は、漁師・儀肋の家にやっかいになった。その小さな漁村では五右衛門一家が賭場を開き、市もつきに任せて遊んでいた。跡目を継いだばかりの若き五右衛門は宿場一体を仕切るために八州取締役に取り入ろうとしていた。大勝ちした市を撫然とした五右衛門一家が取り囲むが、女親分のおはんが取りなした。帰り道で市は刺客に襲われるが、得意な居合い斬りで片づけた。市は旅先で絵を描く浪人と知り合い、色を教えてもらった。その間も五右衛門一家の刺客が襲いかかるが、市の居合い斬りの前には歯が立たない。八州取締役は赤兵衛に五右衛門と対抗するために銃を買うことを勧めた。しかし、赤兵衛は五右衛門と八州が通じていることを知っており、市を用心棒に顧った。一方五右衛門は浪人を新しい用心棒に顧っていた。赤兵衛の宿場で八州は薄幸の少女おうめを手込めにしようとするが、市に斬られた。浪人は湯治場で一度市を見逃すが、五右衛門一家はついに赤兵衛一家を襲う。壮絶な斬り合いの末、赤兵衛は五右衛門の前に倒れた。その時坂の上から早桶が転ってきて、中から現われたのは八州の首を持った市だった。そして市は数十人の五右衛門一家の子分を絶滅させ、最後に五右衛門と浪人も倒すのだった。

Kansuke Yamamoto is a samurai who dreams of a country united, peaceful from sea to sea. He enters the service of Takeda, the lord of Kai domain. He convinces Takeda to kill the lord of neighboring Suwa and take his wife as a concubine. He then convinces the widow, Princess Yu, to accept this arrangement and to bear Takeda a son. He pledges them his life. He then spends years using treachery, poetic sensibility, military and political strategy to expand Takeda's realm, advance the claim of Yu's son as the heir, and prepare for an ultimate battle with the forces of Echigo. Has Kansuke overreached? Are his dreams, blinded by love, too big?

As Japan joins in a political pact with Nazi Germany and fascist Italy, Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto is appointed supreme commander of the Japanese fleet. With Japan headed inexorably toward war, Yamamoto, despite his misgivings, believes the only possible victory lies in destroying the American fleet by surprise at Pearl Harbor. The attack succeeds, but fails to sink the American carrier fleet. Thus Yamamoto must lead the Japanese navy into war with ever-diminishing likelihood of success.

A pair of down-on-their-luck swordsmen arrive in a dusty, windblown town, where they become involved in a local clan dispute. One, previously a farmer, longs to become a noble samurai. The other, a former samurai haunted by his past, prefers living anonymously with gangsters. But when both men discover the wrongdoings of the nefarious clan leader, they side with a band of rebels who are under siege at a remote mountain cabin.

ゴジラシリーズ第8作。南太平洋の孤島ゾルゲル島で行われていた気象コントロール実験・シャーベット計画が、謎の妨害電波を受け失敗し、島は異常高温に見舞われてしまう。妨害電波の発信源だった巨大な卵からミニラが誕生し、電波を察知した親ゴジラがゾルゲル島に上陸。ミニラを狙うカマキラスや、クモンガとの戦いが開始される。

昭和天皇や閣僚たちが御前会議において降伏を決定した1945年（昭和20年）8月14日の正午から、国民に対してラジオ（日本放送協会）の玉音放送を通じてポツダム宣言の受諾を知らせる8月15日正午までの24時間を描いている。

Set at the end of the Siege of Osaka this film follows the exploits of several members of the defeated Toyotomi clan as they cope with the post battle chaos and the persecution of the Shogun's army. Five samurai decide on different fates when it becomes clear that their side is being destroyed. One wants to attack the enemy head on in a final honorable death. Another decides to commit hari-kiri but wants to find a glorious view to do it. His close friend, the "coward", just wants to run and give up the life of a samurai. The final two set their own castle on fire to garner favors from the enemy and therefore avert their own death during the massacre of all defeated soldiers as

Klima, Deputy Minister of Industry of the Republic of Alabanda, has come to Japan to purchase materials for the water dam construction. Kitami, who called himself a salesman and met with Klima, acts as his bodyguard. However, Kitami learns that a large number of industrial cylinders unrelated to dam construction have been purchased, and Klima secretly confined her secretary, a former army colonel, and threatened to produce poisonous gas. Klima packed the gas in a cylinder and sent it to Alabanda in an attempt to cause a civil war between the government and the tribes. Around that time, Klima secretly investigated Kitami's identity and learned that he was a secret agent.

7人の若者を乗せたヨットが、嵐のため無人島に漂着した。その島を探索した結果、彼らより先に、一艘の難破船が漂着していたことが判明する。だが乗員の姿はどこにもなく、ただあたりは奇妙な形状のキノコが群生しているのみだった。やがて食料の残りが少なくなり、彼らは恐る恐るそのキノコを食し始める。そしてそのキノコを口にした者は、人間の姿を失い、奇怪なキノコ・マタンゴへと変身していくのだった……。原作はホジスンの「闇の声」。

The story tells of a group of samurai who were left leaderless (becoming ronin) after their daimyo (feudal lord) was forced to commit seppuku (ritual suicide) for assaulting a court official named Kira Yoshinaka, whose title was Kōzuke no suke. The ronin avenged their master's honor after patiently waiting and planning for over a year to kill Kira. In turn, the ronin were themselves forced to commit seppuku for committing the crime of murder.

The legend of the birth of Shintoism. In Fourth Century Japan, the Emperor's son Ouso expects to succeed his father on the throne, but Otomo, the Emperor's vassal, prefers Ouso's stepbrother, and conspires to have Ouso die on a dangerous mission he has contrived. But Ouso prevails in the mission and returns to his father's castle under a new name, Prince Yamato Takeru. Otomo plots to have the Prince sent into even greater danger, but Otomo is unaware that the gods have favored the Prince and the outcome is far from what any of them expected.

It's a man's world. Shimamura, an artist, comes to this snowbound town to rejuvenate himself. He connects with Komako, a geisha he met on a previous trip, and it seems like love. Shimamura returns to Tokyo but promises he will be back soon. In anticipation of his return, Komako breaks with her patron and her family loses their home. Complications arise when Shimamura doesn't come back as promised. Then Komako discovers that he and Yuko knew each other in Tokyo. Can Komako escape destiny?

With one of the busiest film industries in the world, Japan was able to submit several films into competition at the 1957 Berlin Film Festival. One of the best of these was Arashi, directed by Hiroshi Inagaki of Rickshaw Man fame. Anticipating Hollywood's Table for Five by nearly a quarter of a century, the film concerns the efforts by a recently widowed high-school teacher to raise his four children alone. Chihu Ryu is terrific as the central character, while Izumi Yukimura is even better as Ryu's eldest daughter. For reasons unknown, Arashi is often omitted from "official" lists of Inagaki's films.

Two youths - the serious son of a Buddhist abbot and his rakish pal - quarrel over a restaurant keeper's daughter. When one of the youths die the other boy and the girl find they cannot forget him.

Lonely youth Shinji meets Hatsue, a pretty pearl diver, on the beach and the two fall in love. But Shinji has a rival for Hatsue's affections, Yasuo.

This is a film about a Naval Air Corps Director who hates the war. Director Honda uses this film to ask the question "What is war?", showing the human bonds between Japan and America, Japanese military tactics which had little regard for life, and the attitude of Japanese military personnel who treated their actions as if they were just doing a job. This film contains few battle scenes, concentrating instead on the love stories of young officers and female members of the community in this lonely air base.
