기상천외한 「아이디어」가 가득 담긴 「코미디」물로서 핑크색의 괴상한 광채가 번쩍하는 순간, 국제연합 빌딩이 흔적도 없이 사라져 버리는가 하면, 미국 대통령이 무슨 까닭인지 TV 앞에서 협박을 받고 있다. 독단과 편견으로 추리수사를 벌이는 빠리경찰의 수수께끼 전담 수사관 「쟈크?크루소」와 괴기요절할 핑크의 표범이 엮어내는 괴작이다.

잭 더 리퍼 사건이 일어나기 8년 전, 런던에서 희생자의 피를 사용해 수수께끼의 메시지를 남기는 범인 일명 '라임하우스 골렘' 연쇄 살인 사건을 그린 영화.

한적한 소도시 폰티풀. DJ 매지는 여느 때처럼 마을의 사소한 소식을 전하며 무료한 방송을 하고 있다. 그런데 수상한 제보들이 하나씩 들어온다. 알코올 중독자와 경찰의 대치, 병원을 둘러싼 폭동, 그리고 주민들 사이의 집단살인까지. 평온하던 폰티풀에서는 찾아 볼 수 없던 사고가 연이어 터지는데 이어 알 수 없는 주파수를 통해 들어온 이상한 메시지. “안전을 위해서는 가족조차 피하시기 바랍니다. 그리고..” 과연 지금 폰티풀에선 무슨 일이 벌어지고 있는 것일까.

의문의 실험 후에 사라진 친구 ‘제임스’의 행방을 조사하던 저널리스트 ‘앤’. 그의 집에서 발견된 편지 속의 단서를 통해 소설가 ‘블랙번’을 찾아가게 되고, 그의 집에서 화학자 ‘캘리’가 제조한 문제의 신약을 함께 복용한 뒤 미스터리한 현상을 겪기 시작했다는 충격적인 사실을 알게 되는데...

라디오 드라마 극본 공모에 당선된 미야코는 설레는 마음으로 자신의 대본이 녹음되는 모습을 보러 간다. 그러나 리허설까지 마치고 순조롭게 준비되던 방송은 왕년의 스타 성우 노리코(도다 게이코)의 고집으로 엉망진창이 되어 간다. 노다가 자신의 극중 이름을 난데없이 '메어리'로 바꿔달라고 요구하자, 남자 주인공도 생방송 중에 무단으로 이름을 바꾼다. 게다가 이상하게 변해가는 대본과는 달리 음향 효과가 전혀 준비되지 않아 스탭들은 좌충우돌하는데..

Frank Johnson, a sole witness to a gangland murder, goes into hiding and is trailed by Police Inspector Ferris, on the theory that Frank is trying to escape from possible retaliation. Frank's wife, Eleanor, suspects he is actually running away from their unsuccessful marriage. Aided by a newspaperman, Danny Leggett, Eleanor sets out to locate her husband. 입원 중인 뉴먼 경감이 깊은밤에 누군가에 의해서 피살되었다. 뉴먼 경감은 일부 자기동료로 부터는 남자다운 경찰관으로서 존경을 받았고 상사로부터의 신뢰도 두터웠다. 그러나 그는 법과 질서를 수행하는데 있어서 시민에 대해서는 공포와 증오의 대상이 되었다. 가정에서는 인자한 남편인 동시에 아버지이기도 한 뉴먼은 권력의 집행자가 되었을때 마치 힘없는 양을 습격하는 늑대가 되어서 범인이외의 사라마에게도 가차없는 처벌을 가했다.

When the villagers of Kleinschloss start dying of blood loss, the town fathers suspect a resurgence of vampirism. While police inspector Karl Brettschneider remains skeptical, scientist Dr. Otto von Niemann cares for the vampire's victims one by one, and suspicion falls on simple-minded Herman Gleib because of his fondness for bats. A blood-thirsty mob hounds Gleib to his death, but the vampire attacks don't stop.
