The Slap (1974)

프랑스의 한 박물관에서 말타 문명의 조각상이 도난 당하는 사건이 발생한다. 원래 이 조각상은 3개가 한 세트인데, 이 조각상을 발견한 고고학자와 수집가가 각각 소유하고 있던 것이다. 여주인공 아그네스가 고고학자였던 아버지의 유언으로 조각상 하나의 행방을 알고 있었고, 그녀는 박물관에서 조각상을 훔쳤던 집단에 의해 납치를 당한다. 이때 마침 휴가를 나온 아그네스의 약혼자이자 공군 파일롯인 애드리안 (장 폴 벨몽도)가 아그네스를 쫓아 그녀가 납치된 브라질의 리오에서 모험을 펼친다는 내용이다.

In this action comedy the French boxer Jo Cavalier is charmed on the train to Berlin for the Olympics in Hitler's Germany by the little boy Simon Rosenblum who asks his autograph; when it turns out his adorable young fan is a Jewish orphan in danger of persecution, he risks his one shot at Olympic glory to save Simon and his family, helped only by a German officer-gentleman who became his friend in World War I, by an adventurous escape to Switzerland, Nazi troops on their heals and braving impossible odds in roller coaster-style.

Stéphane defers his frustration at not having had a son on his sons-in-law. So when her younger daughter decides to leave a rugby player than the idolatrous father for a doctor he can not stand, he will do everything to get his son-in-law back. His daughter will not let it go.

Louis-Philippe Fourchaume, another typical lead-role for French comedy superstar Louis de Funès, is the dictatorial CEO of a French company which designs and produces sail yachts, and fires in yet another tantrum his designer André Castagnier, not realizing that man is his only chance to land a vital contract with the Italian magnate Marcello Cacciaperotti. So he has to find him at his extremely rural birthplace in 'la France profonde', which proves a torturous odyssey for the spoiled rich man; when he does get there his torment is far from over: the country bumpkin refuses to resume his slavish position now the shoe is on the other foot, so Fourchaume is dragged along in the boorish family life, and at times unable to control his temper, which may cost him more credit then he painstakingly builds up...

장-뽈 벨몽도 주연의 모험 영화로 부유한 한 젊은이가 자살을 결심하여 청부살인업자에게 자신을 죽일 것을 부탁하지만 마음을 바꾸면서 일어나는 일들을 코미디적 시각으로 그린 작품. 64년 작품인 '리오에서 온 사나이(L'Homme de Rio)'를 거의 리메이크에 가깝게 만든 영화다.

범죄의 세계에서 화려하게 명성을 날려온 보석 전문 강도이자 킬러 싸르테(아랑 드롱 분)가 호송 도중 자동차 바닥을 뚫고 탈출한다. 시실리계 거물 마피아 마네레제(장 가방 분)으로부터 5천만불에 달하는 보석을 가로채자는 제의를 받은 그는 탈출 직후 마네레제의 집에 기거하며 감방 동료로부터 얻어낸 보석 전시장 경보 시스탬을 하나하나 분석해 낸다. 그러나 현장 조사결과 도면에는 없던 특수장치가 발견되자 이들은 계획을 원점으로 돌리고 다시 치밀한 작전을 세운다.그사이 싸르테는 마네레제의 아들 알도의 아내와 사랑에 빠지고 만다. 한편 프랑스 경찰청의 국보급 수사관으로 싸르테검거에 총력을 시울리고 있는 르고프(리노 벤츄리 분)의 추적이 뒤따르는 가운데 싸르테 일행은 뉴욕 전시를 위해 공수되던 보석을 실은 여객기를 납치, 뉴욕의 프리웨이에 강제 착륙시키는데.

노르망디에 상륙한 연합군을 저지하는 데에 실패한 나치로서, 이제 파리의 함락은 시간문제일 뿐이다. 이에 히틀러는 파리를 불태워 잿더미로 만들어버리라는 명령을 내린다. 이 명령을 받은 파리 점령군 사령관은 고민한다. 그 자신 예술을 사랑하는 사람이었던 그는 군인으로서 명령에 복종할 것인가, 아니면 예술의 도시 파리를 보호함으로써 역사의 죄인이 되지는 말아야 할 것인가를 두고 진퇴양난에 빠진다. 연합군의 입성을 앞두고 치열한 활동을 벌이던 레지스탕스들도 이 소식을 듣고는 파리를 지키기위한 숨막히는 사투를 시작한다. 사령관이 파리의 소각 명령을 차마 내리지 못하고 망설이는 사이에 연합군 선봉이 파리에 입성하고, 점령군 사령부는 레지스탕스들의 공격을 받는다. 사령관은 히틀러의 전화를 미처 받지못하고 항복한다. 이때 놓여진 수화기에서 히틀러의 절규하는 목소리가 들린다. "파리는 불타고 있는가?"

This film originated as a play in Paris. The story focuses on the one-day adventures of Bertrand Barnier played with a genius of French cinema, Louis de Funes. In the same morning he learns that his daughter is pregnant, an employee stole a large amount of money from his company, his maid is about to resign in order to marry a wealthy neighbor and his body builder is interested in marrying his daughter. The seemingly complicated story-line is full of comedy or errors and some of the most hilarious mime scenes of the French cinema.

나치 점령기의 프랑스, 레지스탕스 대장인 필립 제르비에는 동료의 배신으로 체포되어 포로 수용소로 보내진다. 가까스로 탈출한 필립은 마르세유에서 펠릭스, 르 비종 등의 동료들과 합류하여 자신을 밀고한 배신자를 처형한다. 레지스탕스 활동을 계속하던 중 필립과 동료 뤽은 런던에서 드골 장군을 만나 훈장을 받는다. 리용에서 펠릭스가 체포되자 프랑스로 돌아온 필립은 동지들과 함께 펠릭스 구출작전을 벌인다. 하지만 철통같은 경비의 감옥에 접근하기는 쉽지 않은데...
