링 원더링 (2022)

‘미타니 코키’표 시나리오와 신인 감독 호시 마모루의 연출이 만난 독특한 코미디. 미타니 코키의 희곡이 늘 그러하였듯이, 이번에도 하나의 공간에서 대부분의 이야기가 펼쳐진다. 말하자면, 하나의 공간은 미타니 코키가 좋아하는 무대이지만, 호시 마모루가 그 폐쇄적인 공간에서 이야기를 얼마나 능수능란하게 풀어나갈 것인가 하는 것이 관건인 셈이다. 2차 세계대전이 한창이던 1940년의 도쿄. 전시 상황이라는 이유 때문에 당국은 모든 코미디극을 가급적 억제 시키거나 검열을 강화하고 있었다. ‘웃음의 대학’이라는 극단의 희곡작가 츠바키 하지메는 새 희곡을 들고 공연허가를 얻기 위해 검열관을 찾는다. 완고한 검열관 사키사카 무츠오는 무조건 퇴짜를 놓다가, 점차 하지메의 열정에 감복하고 코미디 극의 매력에 빠져들게 된다. 그리고 서로를 완전히 이해하게 된 마지막 순간 두 사람은 예기치 못한 이별을 하게 된다. 가메라와 갸오스의 싸움(1편)으로 부모를 잃은 중학생 아야나는 가메라를 증오하며 살아가던 중, 마을에 전해 내려오던 전설의 괴수를 만나 ‘이리스’라는 이름을 지어주고 보살핀다. 그러나 ‘이리스’는 아야나의 바람과 달리 점점 거대해지면서 사람들을 공격하고 도시를 파괴하기에 이른다. 이를 저지하기 위해 나타난 가메라! 이제 가메라와 ‘이리스’의 격렬한 사투가 펼쳐진다!

바닷가에 사는 소년 토오루는 해변에서 거북이 알을 발견한다. 알에서 부화한 거북이에게 토토라는 이름도 지어주며 가족처럼 지내는 토오루이지만, 이 거북이가 지닌 엄청난 힘을 알지는 못했다. 가메라 탄생 40주년을 맞이하여 제작한 작품.

한 남자가 어두운 밤에 하수구로 숨어 들어가 숨겨둔 권총과 다이아몬드를 꺼낸다. 그의 이름은 미야모토로 3년 간의 수감생활을 마치고 감옥에서 곧 출소한 참이다.

대형 태풍이 접근하고 있는데 거대한 천연가스 플랜트 레갈리아(レガリア)에서 사고가 발생한다. 잠수사 센자키 다이스케(仙崎大輔, 이토 히데아키)는 설계주임 사쿠라기(桜木, 가토 마사야)와 함께 시설로 향한다. 하지만 구출작업 도중 갑자기 폭발이 일어나 다이스케 일행은 시설 안에 갇히고 만다. 다이스케는 이제 막 인사를 마친 제7관구의 핫토리(服部, 미우라 쇼헤이)와 함께 구조자를 데리고 무사 귀환할 방법을 찾는다.

The film is a sequel of sorts to Toho's THE MYSTERIANS in the reprise of the Etsuko Shiraishi character of that film as its heroine. It was edited to 74 minutes for its American release.

Once again we focus on Nami Matsushima. This time she has a sister who goes missing and after getting too caught up in doing something about it, our innocent heroine is given a fifteen year sentence for a murder she didn't commit. She's sent to an all women prison where she's not exactly welcome. Her fellow inmates torture, humiliate and try to kill her; but the Scorpion prevails long enough to get some justice.

A group of terrorists has taken hold of the largest dam in Japan.
