The magical tale of a mouse who sets foot on a woodland adventure in search of a nut. Encountering predators who all wish to eat him - Fox, Owl and Snake - the brave mouse creates a terrifying, imaginary monster to frighten them away. 미야자키 하야오 감독이 스스로 만들고 내레이션까지 한 작품입니다. 작품 속에서 미야자키 하야오는 의인화된 돼지의 모습으로 나와 비행 기계들에 대해 설명을 합니다. 19세기 서양인이 상상하던 미래의 비행 기계가 유머러스하게 소개되며, 그 비행 기계들이 문명의 발전과 함께 발전해나가는 모습을 풍부한 상상력을 통해 그려놓았습니다. 이 작품에 등장하는 비행기계들의 묘사를 위해 사용된 기법은 "하울의 움직이는 성"에도 활용되었다고 합니다.

A business man in his 30s, with an expense account, checks into a hotel, exchanging smiles and pleasantries with the desk clerk, a woman of beauty and style. Once in his room, he listens again to a voice message on his cell phone: his lover tells him she is breaking up with him; he is not spontaneous; she has found someone else; don't call. He throws his phone down. When he reaches beneath the bed to retrieve it, he finds a Polaroid photograph of a partially nude woman posed provocatively; it includes a phone number and a sexual question. He opens a beer and stares at the photo. If he calls, what then?

퀘이 형제 초기 작품으로 얀 슈반크마예르를 본뜬 인형(퍼핏)이 여러 주제에 대해 가르치는 구성을 갖고 있다. 펼쳐진 책을 머리에 쓴 슈반크마예르와 달리 강의를 듣는 인형(퍼핏)의 머리는 텅 빈 상태인데, 강의가 진행될 때마다 유사한 주제의 책으로 머리의 빈 공간이 채워지는 걸 볼 수 있다. 아홉 번의 강의마다 슈반크마예르 영화의 중요성이 다양하게 드러나며, 여러 영화적 기술이 특이하게 조합된 것이 특징이다.

A young female babysitter is chatting to her friend when the young girl she's watching disturbs her. She hangs up the phone and goes upstairs to investigate. She finds her screaming and standing up on her bed but can't find anything wrong. She calms the child down and goes back down stairs. This happens several times but things get more ominous and creepy as the babysitter has to investigate the supposedly safe little bedroom.

The old lighthouse keeper lives peacefully with his two daughters, who are both engaged to fisherman. One night he receives a message announcing the shipwreck...

실험주의 록 밴드 ‘히즈 네임 이즈 얼라이브 His Name Is Alive’의 음악을 사운드트랙으로 하는 3분짜리 안무 애니메이션. 봉제 인형, 흰 토끼, 종잡을 수 없이 움직이는 탁구공의 어울리지 않는 조합을 보고 있으면 최면에 빠진 듯한 묘한 매력이 느껴지면서, 동시에 어떤 사건이 일어날 것만 같은 조마조마한 기분이 들기도 한다. 마치 막스 에른스트가 만든 뮤직비디오를 보는 듯하다. 이 섬세한 흑백 영상은 러닝타임이 짧지만 퀘이 형제의 걸작으로 평가받는다.

Mairy, a thirty-year-old woman from Philippines, works in a village in Cyprus. She takes care of Mr. Michalis, an eigthy-five-year-old man with arteriosclerosis. Mr. Michalis spends his days in front of the television, watching time and again a soap opera with a heroine named Anna. He soon becomes obsessed with this heroine, to the point of calling Mairy 'Anna', despite the remarks of his daughter Melpo. When Mairy finds some old photographs she makes an important discovery...
