The other fine star of this race-against-the-clock programmer is an unglamorous, lunch-bucket L.A. rarely captured on film.

Newman não age quando Fred (Meat Loaf) e outros vizinhos perseguem o dono de uma loja de revistas, Finkelstein (David Paymer), um judeu que não tem muito contato com outros moradores da região. A falta de participação ativa de Lawrence no esforços deles para tirar Finkelstein das vizinhanças fazem Newman gradativamente ser considerado judeu.
