The San Francisco area is beset by a series of seemingly random murders without motive or pattern. The police are taunted by phone calls and letters. Could the maniac be the violent, truck driver, or the seemingly mild-mannered mailman, or even a cop?

Based on documents compiled by leading French philosopher Michel Foucault, this unique and original film charts the gruesome events which took place in a Normandy village in 1835, when a young man, Pierre Rivière, murdered his mother, sister and brother before fleeing to the countryside. With a cast made up of real-life villagers from the area where the events took place, the detailed re-enactments and careful attention to the gestures of their ancestors serve to create an intense and sometimes disturbing atmosphere of hyper-realism. Details of the crime and of the trial that followed are told from varied perspectives, including the written confession of Pierre himself, and form a rich and complex narrative that interrogates the concepts of “truth” and “history”.

Sherry informs Darman she is going to tell his wife all about them. Darman tells his secretary that he is going to work late and is not to be disturbed, sets the moviola runnings, and exits by the back door and hot-foots it to Sherry's apartment.

A história de Winnie começa no Canadá, em tempos de guerra, no ano de 1914. Sua mãe foi morta por caçadores e seu destino seria o mesmo se não fosse pelo tenente Harry Colebourn, integrante do corpo veterinário da sessão de Winnipeg. A ursa facilmente conquista toda a tropa e é levada como mascote à Inglaterra. Não demora muito para perceberem que cometeram um erro trazendo-a com eles, pois Winnie estaria exposta à guerra. Por isso ela é levada ao zoológico de Londres com a promessa do tenente Harry de voltar e levá-la para casa, no Canadá. Os efeitos do pós-guerra não seriam suficientes para enfraquecer os laços de amizade entre Winnie e Harry. Uma promessa ainda teria de ser cumprida.

In this comedy/mystery a milquetoast ad man finds his good ideas constantly copped by ambitious coworkers. His boss doesn't even seem to see him. The ad man's wife pushes her husband into confronting his boss during a party. Unfortunately, the timid fellow finds himself accused of murder after a corpse is found in the trunk of his car. He is quickly incarcerated for the crime. Meanwhile his wife begins investigating in an attempt to prove his innocence.

Incrédulo no início, aos poucos Bennell vai descobrindo que tudo faz parte de uma invasão alienígena, que assume a forma das pessoas para conquistar seu objetivo.
