Simone inherits a dilapidated farmhouse in France and makes her way there with her husband Eric and their two children. Her dream is to turn the house into a bed and breakfast but as the hectic pace of the rebuilding gets underway, she gets caught up in the romance and chaos of it all. Losing sight of her goals, she must find her way back to the dreams and ambitions which brought her there in the first place.

Isabel, a teenage girl, is being admitted in a closed institution for juveniles. After an incident where she ends up in solitary confinement, she promises to change herself. But before she can handle the future, she has to confront her past.
Robbie, a divorced Amsterdam commoner, is meanly denied access to his son Tommi, except for monthly visitation. He grudgingly accepts when a loan shark offers to scrap his debt and throw in some cash for a simple service. Robbie must simply trick Marius, a man he never knew, to the port for a fictitious job. As he gets to know Marius, he starts feeling for the generous sociable type. His conscience wants him to warn the mark he's likely to be beaten up.
